Best Practices and Effective Budget Presentation

This two-day seminar is designed to provide participants with practical, hands-on guidance on: 1) how to implement the Government Finance Officers Association’s (GFOA) Best Practices in budgeting; and 2) how to improve the effectiveness of a local government's budget document. The program also incorporates the criteria used in the GFOA’s Distinguished Budget Presentation Awards Program. Numerous examples are drawn from the GFOA's book-length publication, Building a Better Budget Document, which is furnished on site to all participants as part of their course materials.
