Decision Architects: Power, Politics, and Budgeting
“Power politics” is the use of power for selfish gain at the expense of broader community. This is incompatible with the purpose of local government budgeting, which is to find the best way to use collective community resources, like taxes, to invest in goods and services that benefit the community, including infrastructure, technology, public safety, and health, among others. This course will show you how to “change the game” and redirect the energy of power politics to more constructive ends.
